Description 
We are seeking advisory board members to provide strategic support for the management of the HEAL Project. At the HEAL Project, we work to prevent and end childhood sexual abuse (CSA) through healing the wounds of sexual oppression and embracing sexual liberation. We are a project consisting of two partners: Ignacio Rivera (founder), and Aredvi Azad (business manager). We are fiscally sponsored through the Effing Foundation for Sex Positivity. We do not have a 501(c)(3) status and are not seeking one. This position is remote and interactions will be online.

What We Expect
  • Providing ongoing networking and financial advice to The HEAL Project, including insight regarding social media marketing, fundraising, outreach, and education. 
  • Researching and making recommendations for resources and organizations that do relevant work as The HEAL Project and initiate a connection. 
  • Participating in social media and outreach efforts on behalf of The HEAL Project, and recruit people to contribute The HEAL Project in a variety of ways. 
  • Committing to raising a minimum of $5000 for The HEAL Project by the end of 2020. 
  • Committing to spending at least 20 hours a month on responsibilities of the advisory board, including attending one 2h monthly online video meeting on the first Thursday of each month, and one 30 minute meeting with Ignacio each month. 

Who You Are 
  • You engage in direct and effective communication. 
  • You have a realistic understanding of your capacity to take on the responsibilities outlined above.
  • You are willing to be held accountable and hold others accountable. 
  • You are self-motivated, a problem-solver, and have experience or interest in fundraising.
  • You can communicate through email, whatsapp, and zoom in a timely manner.
  • You have basic knowledge of social media (FB, IG, Twitter) and are willing to repost on your accounts. 
  • You have a working knowledge of most of these issues: movement building, sexual violence, trauma and healing, CSA prevention, comprehensive sex education, parenting and family, youth advocacy, and sexual liberation.
