Original Works

A collection of media projects created by Ignacio Rivera—solo and in collaboration with Aredvi Azad—through the visionary work of The HEAL Project, now known as Heal Sweet Home. These original series and productions explore sexual healing, liberation, and prevention through storytelling, dialogue, and unapologetic truth-telling.
Below, you can read about and click to watch each series.

Connecting the Dots
Connecting the Dots is an online show that reveals how child sexual abuse (CSA) is woven into the fabric of everyday life—across families, institutions, and culture. Hosted by Ignacio Rivera, this series invites viewers to explore how media both reflects and reinforces the conditions that make CSA possible.
Through thoughtful commentary, guest conversations, and cultural analysis, each episode examines familiar films, TV shows, songs, and books—uncovering the messages they carry about power, shame, consent, and silence. Together, Ignacio and their guests offer practical insights, tools, and reflections for shifting the narratives that sustain harm and for building a culture of openness, accountability, and care.

Caution: Unrestricted
Caution: Unrestricted is a provocative conversation series co-created by Ignacio Rivera and Aredvi Azad, diving headfirst into the shadowed corners of sexual stigma, taboo, and survival. Each episode unpacks the unsanitized truths we’re taught to hide—those uncomfortable thoughts, untold stories, and unsavory questions that reveal how deeply the Culture of Sexual Violence shapes our relationships, families, and selves.
Survivor-centered yet intentionally open to everyone, the series blends brutal honesty, biting humor, and tender inquiry to challenge moral binaries and invite collective reckoning. Caution: Unrestricted! refuses purity narratives and instead exposes the messy, contradictory terrain of healing, desire, and harm.

Pure Love Talks
Pure Love Talks is a groundbreaking, heartfelt, and witty online talk show created and hosted by Ignacio Rivera—a Black Boricua Taíno, transgender healer, artist, activist, mother, and self-proclaimed magical unicorn. Joined by their daughter, Amanda Rivera—toddler-whisperer, assistant teacher, diva, bruja, and proud mermaid—the duo brings radical honesty and humor to the screen.
Together, they dive into the real and the raw: sex and sexuality, transformative parenting, homelessness and poverty, sobriety, mental health, and polyamory. Every episode unfolds through a first-person, survivor-centered, anti-racist, and feminist lens, offering space for truth-telling, laughter, and learning.
At its heart, Pure Love Talks is a rare and intimate portrait of queer, sex-positive parenting—a guide for reimagining how we talk with our children (and our parents) about love, desire, and the beautiful complexity of being human.

Sex (Ed) Is
Sex (Ed) Is is a social media–based conversation series that invites young adults, youth, parents, guardians, caretakers, educators, sex educators, child advocates, and adult mentors into candid dialogue about their lived experiences with sex education—or the absence of it. Through frank, open, and vulnerable conversations, participants reflect on how what they were taught (or not taught) about sex, bodies, boundaries, and consent shaped their relationships, self-understanding, and sense of safety.
The series centers personal narratives to explore whether and how sex education impacted participants’ experiences of survivorship, sexual trauma, and harm prevention. By foregrounding lived experience rather than abstraction, Sex(Ed) Is positions comprehensive sex education as a critical, though often contested, tool in preventing child sexual abuse and supporting healing across the lifespan.

Outing CSA
Outing CSA documents the voices of adult survivors of child sexual abuse across diverse identities, breaking the silence around a topic too often hidden. The project amplifies lived experiences to foster visibility, dialogue, and collective healing.
